Hi, I’m Danica
And My story is a little like this tree…
To me, it looks like an old soul, gnarled and weather-worn. At some point, it was either cut down or its top broke off. That could have been the end of its life. Instead, vigorous growth has emerged.
I did well in school and white-knuckled my way to an Ivy League engineering degree. Following early career success my wandering path led me to academic research, working at a non-profit, and homeschooling my children for a while, before ending up back in an engineering consulting role.
Along the way, I was constantly searching for meaningful work. I was trying to understand myself and how to use my talents in the world, and often struggling with low self-worth (hello, gnarly old tree!)
Sometimes it takes a long time to learn what isn’t working before change is possible.
When one of my children was diagnosed with ADHD, learning how to support them was like a huge spotlight turned around on me. For the first time, my procrastination, anxiety, RSD, emotional dysregulation and disordered eating all had an explanation.
My diagnosis was a relief, and the grief was very real.
But knowledge is power; it allowed me to put my struggles into context. I’d already been contemplating a career shift, but this was the knowledge I needed to take the leap into coaching.
Now, I support women with ADHD to heal and make lasting, positive changes in their lives – so they can flourish, thrive, and move forward with a deep sense of presence, purpose, and self-worth.
What new growth wants to emerge in your life?
how we’ll work together
I’m here to hold space for you to dive deep into how your stories, beliefs, and identities have been shaped by ADHD, and support you to create lasting, positive change.
As women with ADHD, the negative labels we’ve been given throughout our lives – the loud one, the chatty one, the wiggly one – have shaped our identities, turning into masks like perfectionism and people-pleasing.
As a result, many of us who recognized our ADHD later in life are only discovering our true identities in our 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, or beyond – often with no one there to support us through a destabilizing time filled with big emotions like grief and anger.
My coaching isn’t about “hacks” or “tips and tricks” to “manage” ADHD. I blend coaching with personalized mindfulness practices, helping you understand and relate to your inner world, and empowering you to navigate challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.
Through our work together, you’ll uncover the deeply held beliefs and motivations shaping your behaviors. As those beliefs shift under the surface, healthier new behaviors can emerge.
I won’t teach you how to “overcome” ADHD challenges – instead, I’ll support you in developing an unshakeable sense of who you are and all you’re capable of, while learning to trust that you can move through life with ease and grace.
Coaching is both a process and a practice, and you’re not failing if you don’t have it all figured out right away. I’m here to walk that road with you – for as long and as far as you need.
